Assassination in 140 Characters
Committing.
Committing yourselves, your words , your thoughts to paper easy ?
No quite frankly no.
It is even harder to commit to twitter ; it can move So fast .
You just have to dive in.
Which is hard for an introvert.
Quite frankly ,it is like playing hot potato.
You don't want to be the one left hanging .
And who knew you can assassinate yourself in 140 characters.
Yes 140 characters to stand tall .
140 characters to link to your cause.
Though it takes over 140 characters to explain yourself many a time.
Got a great thought ?
You've one shot .
SO very true, and very eloquently put. You can do a lot of damage in 140 characters! I find if I leave words out to be succinct it changes the meaning.
ReplyDeleteI'm useless on Twitter as I always have to many words I want to use so often end up saying nothing. Trying to make more of an effort though! :-) x
ReplyDeleteI am as well , I'm really trying to think about what I say .
DeleteIt is hard to get it all in 140 characters some times x
ReplyDeleteIt is very hard and especially for someone as quiet as myself.
DeleteThat's why I tend not to use Twitter too much!!
ReplyDeleteI like the fact that twitter moved fast, so what you say is literally of the moment, however you are right, there as anywhere else online you do have to choose your words carefully, or be thick skinned at any fall out!
ReplyDeleteI do often struggle as I can sometimes waffle on, but I'm getting there :-) x
ReplyDeleteI find I always have too much to say to fit into those 140 characters. I must admit to being a bit of a lurker on Twitter, I don't always jump in and say anything!
ReplyDeleteNot a huge fan of twitter I'm afraid
ReplyDeleteI love Twitter... yes, sometimes is it just too fast and messages are too short but still... what a great way to communicate with others
ReplyDeletetwitter is great fun, esp trying to squeeze what you are saying into 140 characters! x
ReplyDeleteThis is so true, I tend to have little bursts of twitter time. Sometimes I can be on it and then not use it as much. thinking of trimming down a sentence to 140characters has never been so tricky. x
ReplyDeletei don't find any interest in twitter. only celebrity are crazy on this
ReplyDeleteI love twitter but I understand your frustration - sometimes no matter how hard you try, 140 characters is just not enough
ReplyDeleteI'm a chatterbox so find twitter a little hard as well 140 characters just isn't enough :/
ReplyDeletethe trouble with twitter is trying to get across what you mean, as I know sometimes we can pick up wrong on what being said and take offence. There is no expression or tone, and I have seen me read back some after I have tweeted them and think "no thats not what I meant to say" and delete it before offence is caused. (and hope said person has not seen it)
ReplyDeletei love twitter and have found some absolutely amazing people through it, but i can totally understand how you feel. i am a total introvert too, and quite the agoraphobe, so to me twitter has been wonderful in finding friends, good reads, inspiration and more.
