Blue Nun Review

The classic and iconic Blue Nun brand, owned by Langguth Wines in Germany, has used their passion, heritage and expertise to create a Rivaner Riesling that really delivers on taste for today’s wine lovers, still in its famous blue glass fluted bottle. Blue Nun wines have been produced since 1921 and come with the added assurance of their Sichel Superior Vinification wine making method. This involves temperature controlled fermentation, which results in a remarkable improvement in taste, aroma and smoothness of wines.

Previously a blended non-varietal designated wine, the new Rivaner Riesling has been carefully blended and offers more body and flavour. The Langguth winemakers have crafted a beautifully finished wine with perfect balance, softness, and depth of fresh fruit flavours with this fresh, crisp and fruity white wine. The new Blue Nun Rivaner Riesling is an easy drinking, contemporary wine and is at its best served lightly chilled (Alc 10.0 % Vol).
£5.99 and available to buy from most UK supermarkets including Tesco, Morrsions, Asda, Co-Op and Nisa.

A pleasant enough wine for an Indian summer evening , and a refreshing change from the expensive wines I've been drinking so at £5.99 its a far cry from the £60 bottles I have been having.

( I was sent a bottle of Blue Nun to review) and yes I did recycle the bottle !
