Well strolling through my local park I noticed an absence of something it wasn't the dog walkers , it was the happy noise of the laughter of children that was missing that makes me sad as play matters. I agree our play equipment is a little tired , but it looked otherwise safe. And I certainly wasn't aware of of any notices saying it was unsafe, perhaps it will get updated one day. Yes where I live may be a suburban area tickling the countryside but that doesn't mean the play area should be shut.
No child / adult is past a play ground nowadays especially with these new fangled fitness/ play areas springing up. Now the rather tame death slide as you can see had a rather beautiful breathtaking view I love views like that.
Its a crying shame when children have no where to play....

Why is it locked up? If I was a kid nearby I'd hopthe fence, that red globe thing looks fun.
ReplyDeleteoh that is sad, it looks like a great wee playground. My two girls would love it there, we spend huge amounts of time outside in all weathers and they would quite happily spend hours in there. Lets hope that maybe the school holidays will see it being used a lot x
ReplyDeletethey were just building a new one at our old house to replace the one they took away last year, when we moved out it was not finished but what was there was over run with kids and happy laughter.
ReplyDeleteThat's so sad, I would have been tempted to jump the fence! It looks fun in there! Our nearby one was locked up recently for refurbishment, the toddler wasn't impressed!
ReplyDeleteThat is sad indeed. One of the most popular playgrounds in our town has been closed, and who knows when it will be rebuilt. The rumours in town are that there are talks of building contractors doing their business there instead of the play area.
