Do you judge a book by its cover ?

Do you judge a book by its cover this is going to sound very Yoda like.

The other day I ended up at a Fast food restaurant  power cut in my area.

I went to go to toilet only to be met by a giggle of teen age girls.

I wasn't judging .... yet ...

They were judging me.

"Hasn't she got a flabby a**e "

Instead of being mortified  I said " How rude and told them they should learn some manners"

I didn't judge them but all I'll say.

Treat others as you want to be treated.

So how do you deal with rude situations ?

  2. Seriously!
I normally out-nice them. Catches everyone unawares ;)

  3. Good advice, reminds me of The Water Babies, and Mrs Do-As-You-Would-Be-Done-By. I'm like Hayley though, I try to out-nice people. Being super-polite catches them out & makes them feel more uncomfortable than they ever could make you.

    (And you don't have a flabby a**e)

  4. I agree with Hayley and Lorraine. They can't cope with the nice response...it really throws em. You can see the wiring in their brains short circuiting. I'd take comfort in the knowledge that once they've had a few babies and hit mid 30's...they can kiss goodbye to their pert bums as well! ;)

  5. I agree. It's always best to be nice and rise above rude comments - it really does throw people because sadly it is often totally outside their experience.
