I'm dedicating this about blogging back to basics , seeing where your blogging compass takes you . You see blogging isn't just about the reviews , the events it goes beyond that.
Blogging over the teacups brings you back to where you want to be , where you once were.
And my imperfections in my blogging are there and guess what I'm not hiding then . You might think you know me but what I've been doing it clawing back me time / we time at an hour each day.
There are those who may rewrite their blog posts 40 times before they publish , hurrah them. Myself however nope but what has happened however is my husband now has clean pants as I'm putting on the washing a little more often.
So viva the revolution , switch on the kettle and here's to blogging over the teacups.
Being me , laughing at the corporate post offering to fix my spelling errors.
And yesterday I read a book big big step if you've been / are depressed as I have the concentration of a Knat needing the toilet. I managed it a few pages ~ the book is Listen To The Moon by Michael Murpego. At the moment I'm overwhelmed by thoughts of mackerel ...
I was inspired to write this by Jaimie Oliver from her post.
I know it's how a lot of folks eke out a living but it's not for me - I much prefer reading real posts rather than contrived sponsored posts!! I often write and publish, but then the Grammar Nazi in me has to go back and edit my mistakes!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a "write and post" kind of a blogger too. I'd much rather get my thoughts out and move on. (Mainly because if I don't get them written down they'll will be long forgotten as my memory is awful!)
ReplyDeleteI always re-read my posts back a couple of times before I publish them so I can avoid any mistakes but that's just my personal preference, it doesn't bother me at all when I read other posts with spelling and grammar mistakes though x x
ReplyDeleteI spell check mines, just the way I am, but I do write and post rather than plan what I am going to write x
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty teacups and those cookies look rather good!
ReplyDeleteLoving those teacups!
ReplyDeleteYour teacup is so pretty! I always have to have a cup of tea by myself when I write :) x
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you have been carving out some 'me time' - we all need that. x
ReplyDeleteI write, save to drafts, come back to re-read, faff about, save and repeat usually when writing a post x
ReplyDeleteI think it's great that you're finding more time for you - I need to get that balance a bit better in my favour!
ReplyDeleteI am pants with spellings etc. I think my mind works too fast for my fingers to keep up! I need that tea though
ReplyDeleteI do a quick spell check and then just publish. I'm bored with the post once its written. I'm trying to go back to my basics, where I started, a little bit more blog pottering.
ReplyDeleteI think we all blog for so many different reasons, and as long as you are true to your heart, you can't go wrong. I strangely, have not long finished reading a book. A WHOLE book, which I haven't done for years x
ReplyDeleteThey are very pretty teacups
ReplyDeleteI so preview mine a fair few times before hitting publish but thats just a habit that i have.
ReplyDeleteNow are there any spare cookies???
I have a little checklist before I hit publish! Mainly because I blog with wine 😜
ReplyDeleteoh im the type where i write it and post , i dont bother with ten ton of waiting or editing, im not trying to be someone im not , love me or hate me for spelling mistakes and bad grammer lol x
