There's a packet of dinosaurs on the window sill , there's a charity bag I'm sorting. I can't let go it seems of summer days and video jamming days.
There's a packet of dinosaurs by the window sill you see.
Amongst the kitchen untensils they hide the packet of dinosaurs they survive ; seeking adventure and joy ooh to be dusted off please.

You and I we've seen Toy Story 3 where the toys are gleeful at being free, free from the prison are they. The dinosaurs in the packet are looking at me , I feel a twang of sadness ooh when you were 3.

This made me laugh, my youngest would make off with that bag. I've got toy dinosaurs in my living room, his bedroom, on the stairs, even his bath toys? Dinosaurs. Every time I take a shower, if I don't maim myself on one of the spiky little sods, I'm half expecting Jeff Goldblum to climb in with me!
ReplyDeleteLove this! I'm starting to sort out the baby books and toys that the girls no longer need and it makes me a bit sad for that toddler stage we no longer have.
ReplyDeleteoh gosh lol, im the same i tend to think about how much things cost and how long it lasted and if its not falling apart then why should it be thrown out or sent away , im terrible for clearing things out
ReplyDeleteI need to sort stuff out, I keep saying it and never doing it x
ReplyDeleteWe have so much to clear out and never, ever get around to doing it. Stephen :o)
ReplyDeleteI have similar! But we'd still have the dinosaurs :) I have had a charity bag in the boot of the car for about 3 months.
ReplyDeleteAw those dinosaurs deserve to be freed! Cute capture of a moment to look back on in future years....
ReplyDeleteHaha funny Claire, this did make me chuckle! It's a very well ordered bag of dinosaurs although it would appear one is trying to make a bid for freedom :)
ReplyDeleteWe reallllllyyy need to clear out the kids room. I love this post hehe x
ReplyDeleteYou never know what they might get up to a night - just leave them be and let them get up to mischief ;)
ReplyDeleteI always feel guilty about giving toys away after seeing Toy Story lol
ReplyDeleteThose last couple of lines just gave me goosebumps.
ReplyDeleteAww :( Toy Story has affected us all I think! Lovely and a bit teary post! They grow up so quick. Liv is 3 so very close to home.
ReplyDeleteAw so sweet and so sad...toys that have been loved and now are discarded :( I hope they have a new home....although they seem pretty happy there on your window sill!!
ReplyDeleteMy Mum kept some of my soft toys until I was well into my 30s because she couldnt put something with a face in the bin!
ReplyDeleteI too have kept all my daughters lego in a tub, I can't part with it.
ReplyDeleteAwww, I feel so sad and guilty about getting rid of toys after seeing Toy Story too. I am so bad at throwing anything away at the best of times, especially toys. We kept all of my eldest two's toys for baby number three, but now he's 14 months old I'm getting upset thinking about what to do with them. There's only so much I can keep "for the grandchildren"?! x
ReplyDeleteAh bless. I am also trying to get rid of some things at the moment because we need to sell the house. It's so much easier to get rid of my stuff than the girls' stuff!x
ReplyDeleteooo you can always ship the bag our way... we will make a good use of it, I promise.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE dinosaurs. You can never have enough! Ickle Pickle x
