Easy Peasy Carbonara

Yesterday was a carbonara sort of day and made me think also of my Italian holidays.


2 tablespoons of plain flour 

Knob of butter / spread 
Mixed herbs 


Spoonful of mayonnaise 

500 ml milk


Make a roux with the flour and butter heat gently over a pan 

Once it’s all smooth then gradually add the milk 

Throw in the garlic herbs etc add a dollop if mayonnaise and a crack of black pepper 

Set aside 

Cook your spaghetti 

Reheat the sauce adding in a little extra milk if needed

Poor over spaghetti 

I had mine with salmon and green beans and bacon
