You are at the hairdressers and you listen in to a neighbouring conversation it's about crime.
The conversation was between of the hairdressers (obviously) and a gentleman slightly lacking in hair on the top of his head.
Man" ooh the state of crime around my area is terrible !"
Hairdresser nodding " yes , yes shocking "
Man " Yes they jump over my fence , and nick Gnomes, they are Gnome nickers "
I find the mental image of this very amusing as I have visions of burglars hurdling over white picket fences holding the poor gnome as they go. Perhaps it could be a new Olympic sport with the irate Gnome owners chasing the burglars.
I think gnomes are creepy!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL I read it as gnome knickers !!
ReplyDeleteHa me too!!
DeleteWhat a cute picture and funny story. I would hope no-one would nick them. x
ReplyDeleteI read it as Gnome Knickers too!!
ReplyDeleteI was a victim of gnome crime last year.
ReplyDeleteYes, some lowlife nicked my gnome.
This post brought it all back.
*sobs*
haha We shouldn't laugh at this poor chap's loss but it is quite funny when gnomes go missing! Do you remember that Coronation Street storyline from years and years ago when David Platt I think, nicked the gnomes from next door and sent postcards to the owners of the gnomes on their travels? I think it was Derek and Mavis who were the gnome owners!!!
ReplyDeleteHas he had a kidnapping note yet! My MIL has lots of gnomes, they give me the heeby jeebies
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of gnomes in that pic!
ReplyDeletelol! Gnomes are definitely creepy and slightly weird IMO! .....
ReplyDeleteGnomes freak me out a little I have to say!
ReplyDeleteHahah I don't know why but the imagine in my head of someone jumping a fence to get to a gnome is rather funny.
ReplyDeleteI thought this was going to be about Gnome Knickers then - least they aren't stealing knickers off the line lol
ReplyDeleteI'm not that keen on gnomes but it does seem mean to steal them!
ReplyDelete*chuckle*
ReplyDeletegnomes scare me too! I had no idea people stole them though! x
ReplyDeleteGnomeo, Gnomeo, where for art thou Gnomeo?
ReplyDeleteHaha I love Gnomes :)
ReplyDeleteGnome nickers?!! Who would do that?! I quite like gnomes!
ReplyDeleteHaha brilliant :) Libby saw a gnome today and remarked on how much it looked like Father Christmas. I suppose they do really.
